Amaranth Family

Amaranthus

The Amaranth Family contains one predominant edible species of plant that goes by the name Amaranth. Most of us know it as another “weed” that grows on the side lot the road, but in fact certain varieties contain a significant amount of a much forgotten grain similar to quinua.

National Geographic has written an informative article on amaranth and it’s uses. Click here to read it.

Please, help us help you support our right to share seeds by donating now. All you need to do is click the green donate button to the left to do your part. Every little bit counts.
