What is the Seed Savers Alliance?

The Seed Savers Alliance is a collective of Seed Lending Libraries throughout Northern Wisconsin.  Following the model of lending libraries for books, a seed library works pretty much as you’d imagine. Seeds are “checked out” with the intention to plant them in a garden, enjoy the fresh food, and keep a couple of plants in the ground to go to seed. The saved seed is then “returned” to the library —ideally, in more abundance than what was borrowed. But don’t worry, at the Seed Library we don’t have fines if you don’t return seeds.

We would love to improve the quality and outreach of our current libraries, as well as help to start new ones, but we need your help to do so. Please, help us help you support our right to share seeds by donating now. All you need to do is click the green donate button to the left to do your part. Every little bit counts.
